Harrogate Homeless Project (HHP) has been a vital lifeline for vulnerable individuals in the Harrogate District since 1991, providing safe accommodation and essential support to those experiencing homelessness as they rebuild their lives towards independent living. Central to its mission is offering a pathway of support, starting with emergency accommodation, and progressing through its hostel to move-on housing. Alongside the accommodation offerings HHP also provides a Day Centre, providing a safe and welcoming space where individuals can access essential support, including hot meals, healthcare, and pathways to accommodation. The demand for HHP services in Harrogate is stark and continues to rise. HHP works with a variety of people ranging from those in need of support through relationship breakdown or financial issues to individuals with multiple complex needs including substances misuse, mental health issues and offending behaviour. The HHP vision is to make sure nobody in the Harrogate District has to sleep rough and that those experiencing homelessness have all the support they need to move towards independent living.
